Prepare for 3D Modelling & Animation with Blender (Holiday Camp)

In this course students will learn how to use Blender, an industry standard tool used by professionals around the world.
Due to the nature of this tool, it requires a computer with relatively good specifications. Ideally, any computer purchased in the past 4 to 5 year should be good enough to run this tool.
Please note we do not recommend you install Blender on a Chromebook.
You will need a recently purchased Laptop or Desktop running either Microsoft Windows or Apple mac OS.
Please follow the instructions below well in advance of your session as downloading & installing this tool may take up to 4 hours depending on your internet connection & computer speed.

Download & Install Blender
Step 1: Get Blender!

Most parents are able to follow the step-by-step instructions on this page without technical difficulties. This is the quickest and most straightforward method to prepare for your course.

Step 2: Make sure you are familiar with Zoom
Online classes are delivered using Zoom. You will receive an email from your tutor 15 minutes before the start of your session.
By clicking on the invitation link, you will be able to join the class.
If you do not already have Zoom downloaded and installed on your computer, clicking on the link will automatically prompt you to do so. This should take around 60 seconds.
